With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, AI has already become the core driving force of global technological competition. On a global scale, AI technology is fully penetrating and propelling urban development. AI empowerment not only enhances the efficiency of traditional industries, but also provides innovative solutions for improvement of urban governance, public services and quality of life. AI is redefining the form of future cities.
Located in Jinghai District, Tianjin Tuanbo Health City is a pivotal node in the development of southern Tianjin. It is also an emerging functional leading area along the Tianjin-Xiong’an corridor. The 9,487-mu plot project in the eastern area of Tuanbo Health City is located in the Tuanbo North Dagang Wetland and Baiyangdian Wetland, which are well known as the “twin kidneys” of ecological security in North China and have natural ecological environmental advantages.
In the historic wave of AI-driven urban transformation, the traditional models of new city development is unsustainable. A critical challenge for future cities is how to establish a new paradigm of urban innovation ecosystems. Standing at the forefront of the AI technology revolution in 2025, the Tuanbo AI Future City Design Competition focuses on the future urban construction of the 9,487-mu plot in the eastern area of Tuanbo Health City. It is soliciting creative planning and design proposals from the world to explore new paths for the integration of urban planning systems and cutting-edge AI technology systems, and drawing a new spatial and futuristic blueprint for AI-powered cities.
